Brick Award 2024

Stuart Raeburn, Operations Manager, was invited by Nick Blair, Brick and Stone EU, to the 2024 Brick Awards, hosted at the exclusive Royal Lancashire Hotel in London, to celebrate the world’s greatest clay brick architecture and craftsmanship.
Guests were given a tour of the Grade II-listed Battersea Power Station and The Royal Hospital Chelsea. Both of these structures demonstrate the longevity of bricks. The Royal Hospital Chelsea, also known as the Home of Chelsea Pensioners, was built over 300 years ago and, despite significant damage during the blitz, is still standing today following careful restoration. This served as a strong reminder for everyone, of the benefit of brick.
After returning to the Royal Lancashire Hotel as a guest at EH Smith’s table, a celebrity host presented 18 fiercely contested categories, before finishing up the evening with live entertainment.
We are especially grateful for the hospitality provided by EH Smith and Brick and Stone EU’s, Nick Blair.
